Last Show for 2023

You do not want to miss out on the last show of our 25th season. What a great year we've had and there is no cooler way to wrap things up than with a Trunk or Treat. Bring your car, your costume and yes, your car's costume too. The children are great and definitely make it more enjoyable for all. We are also having a special veteran’s presentation and we encourage all veterans to joins us for this our final cruise of 2023.

Marywood Show is a Go!

The Marywood show was postponed until October 8th.  It doesn't happen often, but unfortunately Hi-Lites will not be running or organizing the show. We would like to encourage everyone to still attend this charitable event on Sunday and we wish the organizers have a wonderful event and amazing weather.

Maybe next year we can join them in this annual event.

Marywood University Cruise

We have been invited to help Marywood University celebrate their Alumni day on their campus September 24 from 11:00 to 2:00. This should be a great day as thousands of alumni will be viviting the campus for a day of activities. Our club will be providing the usual family fun entertainment with our vehichles and we would appreciate your help in showing Marywood how great a car club Hi-Lites is. We will be gathering at the Nazareth Student Center Parking lot.

Perkins Cruise Rescheduled

The Perkins Cruise that was rained out a couple of months ago has been rescheduled and will be Saturday September 9th from 3-6pm. We hope to see you there. Should be a great show overlooking the Shadowbrook Golf Course. The leaves are starting to turn and we had some nice dry weather for a change. Come join us for some end of Summer fun.

Meadows Cruise Cancelled

Much to our dismay, we unfortunately have to cancel the Meadows Cruise scheduled for today. The Elder care facility has informed us  that the enormous amount of rain we received over the past week  has soaked the grass area around the pond to the point were any kind of travel will leave a mess. Since they do not have enough paved parking area to accommodate our show, their was no other choice but to cancel.

Our next show is on the 26th at the Kingston Armory. This is the second year for this show on Market Street and if last year is any indication, the parking lot will be packed with over 100 cars.

25th Anniversary Celebration and Cruise with a Theme

For 25 years Hi-Lites has been serving Northeast PA and "Bringing Kids to Car Shows" in order to promote the hobby and to help raise money for local charities. In celebration of its Silver Anniversary, we are going full throttle to bring our members and guests and community our best cruise ever.
On September 16, for the first time in our 25 year history we are having a themed cruise. We have chosen the theme to be "American Graffiti". After all, it is the 50th anniversary of the film and how much more iconic a movie can you find that exemplifies our hobby.
In addition to our usual activities we are going over the top to make this our best show ever and we need your support. We are asking participants to bring their cars and trucks from the 30's, 40's, 50's and early 60's if possible and make the lot look like a stainless steel diner of the early 60's. In addition, we are encouraging participants to dress the part so they looked like they were part of the movie cast. A special award will be given to the best car/role player(s) combination.
Of course we want all your cars, both young and old, so please bring your Mustang, Camaro and any ride that you are proud of. You should feel free (but not obligated) to just dress up and join us without a car. We want you there to help us celebrate 25 wonderful years.

The Show is a Go... Back Mountain Bowl (1-4)

Well mother nature surely likes to make the weathermen second guess themselves and that is why we wait until the day of the show to make the call. It looks as though we will be dry until after the show is over, so "Start Your Engines!!"

First Cruise of the Season Saturday May 20th

Back Mountain Bowl Cruise

Hey Hi-Liters, we are aware the weather is up in the air (no pun intended) for Saturday's cruise. The Club will be making the call on Saturday morning at 8:00am.

Please check back then to see if we will be having the show on Saturday or moving it to the scheduled rain date on Sunday. You can also check out our Facebook page (Hi Lites Motor Club) for any updates.

Trivia: What kind of car is shown here that looks as sad as we feel over the upcoming weather situation for our opening day?

Ready, Set, Cruise - April 8th

Winter was light and Spring came early. Members are chomping at the bit to get some ride time in. So, it's time to dust off the rides and get them rolling. We will meet at Gunn Brothers Garage at between 10:00 and 10:30 Saturday and head west on 118 for a 25-mile drive to the G&T Country View Restaurant for 11:00am. After a late breakfast or early lunch, we will head home and call it a day. What a great start to the Holiday Weekend.

Let us know if you plan on joining us for the prelude to our 25 Anniversary Season by email or Facebook. See you then...

Hi-Lites Monthly Meeting

Our next monthly meeting is scheduled for Wednesday April 5th 7:00pm at Grotto Pizza Harverys' Lake. All members are welcome and any prospective members are more than welcome to join us and see what this club is all about. Most members come early and show support to our long time sponsor Grotto Pizza by grabbing something to eat while we tell our car stories to each other. The meeting officially starts at 7:00pm, but usually a few minutes late and concludes by 8:00pm. Please feel free to join us.

Membership fees are due for the 2023 season. So if you can settle up with Tim at the meeting, it would make his job a little easier. $10 for individual and $15 for a family.

ps. We are hoping the new 2023 printed flyers are expected to be there... no promises.
